Early this March, 25 prominent York Region leaders experienced what it feels like to be a homeless youth in York Region by taking to the streets in an effort to raise funds and awareness for youth homelessness organized by 360 Kids.

DMCC were proud sponsors of this event, now in its 7th year of running, contributing towards the raising of essential funds for 360 Kids – an organization that serves more than 3,500 youths in crisis and surrounds them with care ranging from access to food to counselling.

In his speech, as one of the event’s key sponsors, DMCC Holdings President & COO Sunny Matharoo stated, “The Overnight 360Experience is a fantastic initiative that raises awareness through active participation. It’s one of many activities that lead to making an already difficult situation just a little bit more palatable for many by increasing support through awareness. This is an important responsibility that all should be aware of and contribute too where possible.” 

Participants started their journey at the Youth Hub with only pocket change in hand and were asked to problem solve and find shelter, similar to the reality of youth who live on the streets.
